Inaugural Post

Since this is my first post, I should probably introduce myself. My name is Jessica, and I have been a pastry chef for 8 years now, following my graduation from the CIA. I have received a degree in culinary arts, but I took a job in a hotel bakeshop and never looked back. I love this industry and couldn't imagine doing anything else. My career has taken me all over the country, from Hyde Park, NY to Shreveport, LA to New Orleans, to Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale, i live and breathe food and the culture surrounding it. It can be instantly gratifying or impossibly thankless, but I would not trade this life for any other.
